The company is the leading supplier of Internet browser and web server-based life science desktop software, enterprise solutions, chemical databases and consulting services to the biotech, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. They seek:
Director, Major Accounts - (Cambridge, UK)
Responsible for establishing the company presence and brand awareness, culminating in the increase of sales to existing and new Major Accounts. The post involves the development of business in the UK and Scandinavia and may be operated from a home office base within the UK.
Responsibilities include:
• Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategy and tactics
• Leveraging and expanding sales in existing accounts and managing profit margins
• Working with marketing to set new product directions
• Development of long term account strategies and planning business objective
• Identify solutions and services to enhance future business value
• Gain access to all areas of existing accounts to pursue new opportunities establish the company as the prime vendor/partner
• Create and develop new business opportunities
Experience
 Formal education in chemistry, physics or the life sciences is preferred
 Proven track record selling enterprise solutions to the Life Sciences market
 Experience in the development and management of large accounts, managing relationships across the business
 Network of key contacts within the target sectors
 Track record of managing the sales process for large projects within a high growth software company
 Expert at managing the sales process and its translation into additional revenues
