Director of Business Development, EMEA- Ecommerce

My client is a leading international ecommerce solutions company, with offices across APAC, EMEA and the Americas. With business going well they are keen to expand their team and add a Director of Business Development to their ranks to cover EMEA. Based out of Germany or BENELUX, this is a great opportunity for a senior commercial person to further develop their career with a highly respected outfit. Definitely not one to be missed.
The purpose of the role is to build a strong portfolio of revenue generating channel and alliance relationships in EMEA that will accelerate my clients’ growth in the region. You will be responsible for all phases of partner engagement, negotiating and closing channel and alliance agreements from start to finish. This is a very entrepreneurial role, and as such doesn’t have any direct management requirement, although you will be working closely with sales operations in order to integrate new partners seamlessly into the fold.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the European ecommerce marketplace and retail multi-channel business models. You will have a proven background of successfully building revenue generating channel and alliance relationships. Strong language skills in both German and English are a must, and any other languages would be beneficial. You will be driven, consultative, and capable of managing multiple business streams at once. You will also be degree educated.
