Director of Business Development - Security

Our client is one of the UK’s leading security risk management companies, providing a range of specialist consultancy, operational training and information services to a significant blue chip client base around the globe.
The purpose of the role is to manage, develop & implement the company business development & sales plan with the aim of achieving current financial targets and business goals.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Direct the company sales and marketing plan
• To perform senior level business development, key account management and contract management for specified areas of the business, both in the UK and overseas
• To manage the Business Development and Information departments
• To act as a Company Ambassador in all dealings, both internally and externally
• To contribute to the strategic planning of the business as part of the Senior Management Team/Board.
Candidates are likely to be currently employed within a similar role in the security risk management area with a strong business development track record. Firsthand knowledge of commercial security operations in Iraq and knowledge of at least one other high risk region is essential.
Additionally, the successful candidate is likely to have served in the British Army or Royal Marines although this is not essential. They will be educated to a minimum of degree level, with a high level of IT literacy, exceptional attention to detail and first class communication skills and will be seeking a move to a position where they can grow their own business area and influence and help drive forward the business – and reap the rewards that go with that.
