Director of Product Marketing - Capital Equipment
Hampshire - South Central / Coast
Leading Technology organisation require an experienced Director of Product Marketing to join their expanding team in Hampshire.
This role is for a proven technical marketing professional to join a successful engineering organisation involved in the design, development and manufacture of high technology and high value electronic and electromechanical systems.
Candidates MUST have experience with Capital Equipment, i.e. high value, low volume products.
This position has been created in order to bring technical engineering / scientific knowledge to an existing marketing team. The successful application will be required to lead a small team of product marketing professionals and will be a key player in the capture of customer requirements and overall product delivery.
Therefore this role will suit an engineer with a strong technical background (e.g. design, development or applications engineering) with strong business acumen together with excellent communication skills and customer facing ability.
Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. electronics, physics, mechanical engineering) in addition to strong business acumen and marketing knowledge, perhaps holding an MBA. Must possess an intimate knowledge of product lifecycle management for high value ($0.5M+) electronics / electromechanical systems and be able to capture requirements effectively.
Further desirable skills / experience would include a design or development background within an electronics, aerospace, telecoms or automated machine company and a background as an engineering manager, development manager, project or programme manager as well as a knowledge of a broad range of technologies (e.g. analogue, digital electronics, FPGAs, embedded / PC applications software, 3D mechanical design, etc.)
