Our client is a prestigious international company within the manufacturing industry and they are looking to recruit an exceptional Director of Research with good engineering background to provide inspiring scientific leadership, creatively tackling challenges facing the company and applying new, exciting ideas and processes to their resolution.
Key Accountabilities
* Must be degree educated (PhD essential)
* Liaising with the Scientific Advisory Board to establish and agree on scientific policy
* Formulate and develop the scientific strategic plan of the company
* Management of the Research Team adopting a team based culture, ensuring positive interactions with other teams
* Identify scientific opportunities
* Responsible for planning own workload following objectives being set by the CEO
* Attend regular meetings with the CEO
* Effectively liaise with your team of 7 and across the organisation
* Minimum of 4 years experience within a scientific leadership role
* Excellent project management skills
* Strong negotiator, very influential, excellent leadership skills
* Outstanding communicator at all levels
* Articulate and concise
* Immaculate personal presentation and well spoken
* Enjoys a challenge
