This is a newly created appointment with an internationally renowned and profitable company engaged in the design, production and installation of engineered products and systems. The Company has invested in developing its manufacturing and research and development capabilities and is well positioned for further growth.
With a strong emphasis on the identification and exportation of new market and new product opportunities, the Company is now seeking to appoint a highly capable Director of Sales and Marketing to ensure that the business enhances its market position. You will be responsible for leading development and implementation of sales and marketing plans designed to increase market share and ensure profitable growth as well as appraising customer and market requirements and competitor activity. This will include anticipating market trends – ensuring that the business maintains and enhances its competitive advantage both in the UK and internationally. The person appointed will be a key part of the senior management team and play a lead role in the future growth of the business.
An experienced and high quality sales and marketing leader, you will need to be able to demonstrate a strong record of delivery gained within an engineering environment where design and quality of product are amongst the keys to success. Almost certainly an engineer, you will have a proven ability to assess and understand market dynamics and position the sales and marketing offer effectively to maximise opportunities. Innovation will be an important quality in terms of being able to create new perspectives that enhance and improve the Company’s ability to win new business. International experience is essential and although based in Cumbria you must be prepared for extensive travel including overseas.
