Our Client is a substantial independent growing specialist third party provider in the non-food retail sector. With new contact acquisitions and a well deserved reputation for innovative logistics and supply chain solutions, the business dictates the early appointment of an enthusiastic and committed DCM to manage the growth across a substantial retail focussed fulfilment operation.
Reporting to a Divisional Director and with frequent daily links to customers and operational colleagues, the GM will plan, supervise and deliver service excellence against demanding KPIs. He/she will ensure for the highest standards of service, people development, safety and employee relations in a non unionised, but lively site. Frequent customer interface will be essential, as will the job holders ability to provide inspirational leadership and motivation.
Certainly an experienced and accomplished GM, your current or earlier background will have been gained with a fast paced retail or FMCG warehousing operation in either 3PL or in house. You will be very familiar with broader supply chain methodology and have excellent WMS experience. As a proven leader, you will be fully committed to both the development of your own staff and to a strong ethos of “Customer First”.
