Distribution Director (6 Month Interim Contract)
Crawley, Southampton - South East, South Central / Coast
Our client is a leader in its field. They currently require an experienced Distribution Director with knowledge of the packaging industry to lead the company to achieve objectives in customer service, cost, quality and operational performance.
1. Management of direct reports responsible for materials, purchasing, inventory, and distribution
2. Lead operational improvement initiatives
3. Lead projects for the implementation of new equipment
4. Communicate on operational and strategic issues.
5. Maintaining high levels of physical integrity and accuracy in all inventories
The successful Distribution Director will have proven experience of operational management within the packaging and distribution industries. They will be an excellent communicator with an understanding of at least one ERP system and one WMS system. Understanding of major financial concepts including costing and ROI calculations is also required.
