E-Commerce Business Manager - Rotterdam – multinational software and digital content company – attractive base and benefits

With over 7 million users worldwide across Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Development, Government and Project management. Their growth within Northern Europe has doubled over the last 2 years. The expected growth for Northern Europe is over $400 million by 2012, with a total revenue of $3.5million. Listed on Nasdaq and voted 1 of the top 100 companies to work for.
ROLE - reports to the VP Northern Europe – to adopt E-Business solutions with “Low Technology”, high volume product via online and distributors and resellers achieving sustained growth with our established products including Subscriptions and renewal.
Principal Responsibilities:-
• Motivates and manages a direct and/or indirect sales force within a region or product line. May also be responsible for managing sales support, application engineering, or administrative personnel.
• Determines proper channel coverage, authorizations, compliance with policies, and reseller and/or distributor recruitment.
• Acts as a business consultant to help resellers and/or distributors set their strategy.
• Coordinates with sales teams on reseller quotas, authorization requirements, programs and policies.
PERSON SPEC - higher weighting more important
•10 – E commerce / retail experience, (must have and ideally current or previous role) – not necessarily from software but from consumer products i.e. audio, telco etcs
•Channel management experience – grow and discipline on the resellers to concentrate on our brand
•10 - Entrepreneur and good business mind with the ability to think outside the box
•10 - Senior management experience having coached, managed and trained 3 + employees remotely
•10 - Strong creative background within marketing and can demonstrate achievements changing the way we work on selling our products online
•10 - Personality – confident, gravitas/impact, influence, leadership, results and process-focus, multitasking
•10 – Ability to plan activities, meet assigned schedules and achieve planned targets/objectives
•10 – Experience of financial sales forecasting – strategic thinker and planner
•10 - Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to listen, communicate to, be trusted, and influence employees at all levels. Ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external clients across multiple countries and cultures;
•9 – Previous experience of selling CAD/CAE software would be advantage
•9 – Must be fluent in Dutch and English
•9 – Previous experience in US multinational
•9 – Flexible to travel across Northern Europe
