Email Marketing Consultant

Salary: £35k - £50k (dependant on experience) + bonus + salary review after 6 months Location: Isleworth (Mon-Thurs), Vauxhall (Fri)

Job Description and Candidate Details

We require an online email marketing manager to sit within the online marketing team of a major blue chip client developing and managing their email marketing communications to a very large customer base. This client has a significant online budget and this is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with a high profile, innovative organisation.

Key Areas of Expertise

Essential:
• Email marketing - including testing, creative and delivery
• Landing page development - strategy, design and optimisation
• Cross sell/ up-sell knowledge - working with technical teams to identify and implement online cross sell activity

Advantageous:
Affiliate management, PPC advertising, media buying, media optimisation/trafficking, online loyalty programs, member get member schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on email marketing strategy and implementation
• Writing creative briefs
• Evaluation of creative through from scamps to sign-off
• Managing internal processes and stakeholders
• Liaison and management of email marketing providers
• Liaison with internal legal and brand teams for sign-off
• Evaluation of results and recommendations based on these results
• Proactive idea generation
• Negotiation of creative costs
• Managing internal teams for landing page builds
• Presenting reports and results to senior management

Key Requirements

• Be able to absorb large amounts of information and data in order to be able to understand our clients business
• Have a proven background in managing email campaigns
• Understanding of opportunities/effectiveness/limitations of various types of email formats and technologies
• Understanding of importance and opportunities presented by landing page strategies
• Work well under pressure to tight deadlines
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Motivated by targets / results
• Used to operating at senior management level
• Excellent presentation skills

Experience

Minimum of 2-3 years online marketing experience including significant email marketing experience. Salary is dependant on experience and background. Worked in a large agency on large blue chip clients AND/OR has been in a senior online marketing/email marketing role in a large blue chip company.

Qualifications

Degree level education preferred
