£70 - 90,000 Basic plus high bonus and full benefits

This fast growing technology and innovation leader designs, manufactures and supplies rugged portable handheld instruments for the pharmaceutical and industrial markets. Their industry leading products are used for raw material inspection, quality control and authentication within the major pharmaceutical organisations.

They sell through the EMEA region via dedicated distributors to the warehouse, logistics, QC laboratory and inspection departments of clients in the sector, dealing at all levels and functions within an organisation. Rapid growth has seen them establish a strong presence in the region which now needs to be fully developed. As a consequence they are seeking to recruit a Director of Sales to be fully responsible for sales across the region.

As well as taking a hands-on approach to developing sales in the pharma sector, the Director of Sales will lead and motivate a small team, foster relationships with key customers and distributors, and take an active role in strategic business development ensuring the company’s long term success.

Ideally from the analytical instrument sector, you will have proven experience of significantly developing sales into the pharmaceutical sector and of managing a distributor network. You will need to be a tactical sales leader, being both strategic and operational, and able to work across many levels and functions. Ideally you will have a good technical understanding of instruments (preferably FTIR and Raman based) and know the market segment very well.
