CLIENT – A truly diverse company supplying customers in 60 countries around the world with revenue of $18 billion and employing almost 120 000 people worldwide. This particular business division is growing rapidly, from $600 million to $900 million in the last two years, with further growth planned around this particular role in the business.

ROLE – EMEA Product Migration Manager – reporting to the Vice President for Productivity Improvement with a dotted line to the Global Operations Director, this highly visible role is responsible for managing and facilitating the transfer of products and processes into LCC manufacturing facilities, mainly in EE and India, including complete site exits. You will have overall responsibility for all manufacturing, engineering, quality, logistics, planning and buying processes. You will also be involved in preparation and delivery of the operational plan (quality, cost and delivery performance).

Responsibilities include:-

- Develop and manage project plans, and ensure all project deadlines are met
- Work in conjunction with other functions (eg Sales, Operations and Supply Chain) to ensure that transfers have minimal impact on customer quality and delivery performance.
- Prepare Budgets as agreed with the business unit leadership and in accordance with division requirements.
- In conjunction with operations management, ensure effective management of capital investments.

PERSON SPEC – higher weighting more important:-

10 - Extensive experience, and successful track record as a Product Migration Manager with management experience
10 - Strong experience of project management within a cross-functional team with a demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise
10 - Previous experience in either manufacturing operations, supply chain management or international logistics/subcontract manufacturing operations
10 - Qualifications - Degree level equivalent, ideally in an engineering/technical discipline.
10 - Practical knowledge of ISO 9000 or equivalent quality systems
10 - Good understanding of management accounting practices within the manufacturing environment
10 - Personality - dynamic, self-starter, accountable, assertive, multi-tasker, communicative, respected, resilient, energetic, creative and very driven
10 - Willingness to travel for potentially extensive periods of time
10 - Evidence of successful management of change within a manufacturing organisation
10 - Fluent German and English
9 - Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels within and outside of the organization.
9 - Excellent interpersonal, people management skills, negotiation and multicultural communications skills
8 - PC proficient, including Excel, Word, MS Project, Power Point
