EMEA Sales Account Manager - US multinational process/chemical technology developer – Guildford, UK – Attractive salary & benefits
CLIENT is an international supplier of process technology, products, engineered systems and technical services to the petroleum refining, petrochemical, gas processing and energy industries and is a leader in the research and development of petroleum and petrochemical processing.
ROLE – EMEA Sales Account Manager – reporting to the EMEA Sales Director, with responsibilities including, but not are not limited to;
* Providing the necessary customer coverage, relationship management and commercial and technical positioning of the company's process technology and equipment to ensure optimum market share across EMEA
* Developing and maintaining good working relationships with key account personnel, as well as with local representatives and key personnel within relevant engineering contractors and industry consulting groups
* Developing a clear understanding of assigned customers, in particular with respect to their business drivers, buying behaviours, and decision making structures.
* Developing and delivering agreed to sales revenue and margin targets within budgeted expense and pricing guidelines for the accountable region consistent with overall P&L.
* Developing strategies for complex sales prospects in consultation with business development management, sales support groups, and the other SBUs whose products or services are involved.
* Playing a leading role in the negotiation and closure of sales.
* Managing the preparation and finalisation of commercial agreements.
* Forecasting sales revenues across EMEA on a monthly basis.
* Managing accounts receivables for assigned customers.
* Preparing and implementing customer plans in conjunction with the other SBUs.
* Assisting in identifying and communicating cross-SBU project opportunities to the relevant SBU
PERSON – higher weighting more important
10 – Significant experience in Refining and/or petrochemicals Industries, or related
10 – Proven background in sales account management, with some experience in client business development
10 – Strong interpersonal skills as well as good verbal, writing and presentation skills
10 – Must be professional in demeanour, able to work well with and influence others, be a decision-maker and capable of performing under pressure
9 – Degree qualified (or equivalent), ideally in a technically related discipline
8 – Knowledge of the Licensing business model
8 – Must be fluent English. Knowledge of a second European language would be an advantage (especially French or Portuguese), but not essential
8 – Comfortable with circa 25% EMEA travel
7 – Ideally previous experience of working for a US multinational company in EMEA
