This prestigious firm has their roots in Suffolk going back to 1863 and is a long established and highly successful law practice. They offer a full range of legal services, with the exception of publicly funded Legal Aid work. With offices in Ipswich, Norwich and Cambridge, and plans afoot for further growth, they are well on our way to achieving their ambition to be the leading regional firm in the East of England. Their core business is split across three main divisions - corporate and commercial; property and private client services. Within those principal areas of practice, we have established a number of industry groups covering sectors such as food and farming, logistics, the public sector, and social housing. Over recent years the firm has enjoyed exceptional growth in all areas. Total staff now number 275, 38 of whom are partners.
The employment team specialises in all aspects of employment law and advises employers and employees. Their experience covers, but is not limited to
·Small and large scale restructuring
·Redundancies and collective consultation obligations
·Directors' service agreements and executive terminations
·Changing terms and conditions and issuing new contracts for individuals or collectively
·Tribunal claims
·The avoidance of tribunal claims by providing immediate advice on the conduct of disciplinary and grievance hearings
·Maternity/paternity issues and flexible working requests
·New handbooks/policies and contracts
·Discrimination and equal opportunity issues
·Compromise agreements
·Outsourcing and corporate deal support
·Information and Consultation
·Trade union recognition
·TUPE
·Post Termination Restrictions
Clients include employers and employees ranging from individuals to small, local businesses to internationally known, publicly owned companies.
The Employment Team is looking for a Solicitor with 5 years or more experience (salary dependant upon experience) with a background in Employment Law. The ideal candidate will come from a London Corporate or a top regional firm.
