Enterprise Architect

My client is a leading Financial Services company based in Surrey. We are looking to recruit an Enterprise Architect on a permanent basis.

Salary: £50k - £65k plus benefits

Purpose of Role
As part of the Enterprise Architecture team you will be responsible for setting the overall architectural vision and technology strategy of the organisation by translating the business strategy and aligning this with the technology assets current and future to maximise return on investments.

Key Accountabilities
• Ensure that IT investment is aligned to the strategic aims and objectives of the business, delivering tractability from business strategy down to underlying systems and technology.
• Influence the development of long term business plans using an in depth understanding of business functions underpinned by an awareness of technology advances, and the marketplace, specifically within Financial Services.
• Build sustainable Enterprise Architecture models (process, data, application and technology) to understand the current and future state models of the business units.
• Promote the use of enterprise architectural disciplines to enable the development of the organisation by the engagement of virtual and strategy teams from technology and business areas.
• Conceptualise alternative architectural designs to develop target architectures that meet the business’s objectives and adhere to the architectural principles.
• Work on decommissioning, reviewing, replacing and enhancing the systems portfolio and technology.
• Define, develop and deliver processes and systems to ensure a consistent and good level of service that meets customers expectations.

Skills & Knowledge
• Able to understand the Information, Application and Technical architectures.
• Significant experience in an IT solutions delivery role with experience in a leadership role with accountability for delivering line-of-business IT solutions.
• Experience of Business Process Reengineering and structured design methods.
• Experience in applying comprehensive architecture development methods to describe current and future organisational states.
• Practical experience and thorough understanding of the end-to-end development lifecycles from in-house and outsource suppliers.
• Able to validate architecture designs against the business’s objectives
• Understanding of Strategic Planning models and how they are applied to the business domain.
• Understanding of the Business Change cycle from inception to implementation including the organisation of Change initiatives and the construction of business cases.
