The company is a privately owned international group that manages a number of complimentary manufacturing businesses across four key industrial sectors. Today it employs over 10,000 people in fifty countries and has grown both through a number of strategic acquisitions as well as through organic growth. It demonstrates its constant commitment to the environment in a number of key areas: through recycling of manufacturing waste; economising in its use of water and energy in the development of finished products. As part of this process the Group has created this new role and the Environmental Manager’s main mission is to propose, develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans that ensure corporate sustainable development. Furthermore, they will be fully involved in the defence and promotion of the Group’s interests both on a national and international level through the protection of plastics and PVC products.
This position is fully supported by the Group Executive and will have the opportunity to play a significant part in the way that all of the businesses perform in the future. With an International spread of businesses, candidates will spend approximately 50% of their time at the Global sites.
The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre with extensive experience gained in developing and implementing environmental management systems such as ISO 14001, as well as in the development and implementation of environmental strategies and action plans. Additionally they will be fluent in English and/or French & Dutch.
