Estates Manager - Hospital
London - South East
A leading UK contractor that provides total facilities management services through direct service delivery from a team of 1500 staff to a range of mostly public sector clients requires an Estates Manager for a North London Hospital.
As the Estates Manager you will be responsible for all operational staff, budget and performance of the estates services contract. The Estates Manager will also effectively manage and develop the service across the site, using standards set by the company and the PFI contract for patients, staff and visitors alike.
To contribute to the contract, management team, maintaining close liaison with the client in ensuring day to day requirements of delivering the PFI contract are met.
The key responsibilities for the Estates Manager include:
- To deliver, at all times, high quality hard FM services within the hospital by applying professional expertise and management control. Thus ensuring added value, increased productivity and a cost effective service.
- To formulate and agree in conjunction with the company and the client, strategies that meet the demands for service provision in accordance with the PFI contract, and review their effectiveness making changes to meet ongoing requirements over time.
- To exercise financial and commercial control in the management of expenditure and income within agreed budgets. To maximise the profitability of hard FM operations, reviewing regularly the strategy being adopted to ensure that costs are minimised.
- To identify and develop opportunities across the contract to enhance business and revenue growth.
- To produce an overall contract budget and be responsible for actual performance against it, taking remedial action when applicable to ensure that the budget is achieved.
