ETL Developer
City of London - London
The ETL developer will work closely with the Information Architect and Technical Architects in designing new ETL processes that can be developed as reusable data services across databases in a decoupled manner; assisting the team by implementing ETL data services that meet and satisfy the company Master Data Management strategy requirements
You will need to be able to develop, enhance and maintain existing data distribution services from internal Master database sources or external vendor data files into the underlying Master data model; to distribute and synchronize the Master data with various downstream applications and data Hubs in a manner that complies with the Company Data Services framework, all of the time ensuring data quality that meets business demands.
They will also be able to assist the Information Architect in designing both logical and physical database models utilising various relational and dimensional techniques that meet business requirements and company standards.
Experience Required:-
- Excellent knowledge in Informatica
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL
- Conversant working in a Unix environment.
- Good exposure to UNIX Shell scripting is added advantage
- Exposure to Golden Source is a plus
- Experience within a finance organisation
The main data storage utilises Oracle, but there are some SQL Server instances. ETL is carried out mainly with Informatica. Much of the master data is managed using Golden Source and much of it is made available using web services.
The company is also implementing Oracle Coherence as a caching solution and knowledge of this technology would be an advantage.
