European Sales Manager - International Finance Title
We are looking for an outstanding media sales professional to take up this key role with the biggest B2B international finance magazine in the world.
Our client publishes magazines, newsletters and journals as well as research, directories, books and maps. It also runs conferences, seminars and training courses and is a provider of electronic business information through its capital market databases and emerging markets information service.
The role of European Sales Manager is a mix of account management and new business selling media space and sponsorship opportunities in the Americas and International editions of the magazine, as well as, a sister - hedge fund - publication. The clients are a mix of investment banks, fund management companies, corporates and government agencies in Europe. The position is based in our client’s London office but requires frequent travel to see clients and attend conferences.
We are looking for a candidate with around 5+ years sales experience, ideally in financial media sales - although a proven media sales track record is more important. Languages would be an advantage, specifically French, German or Spanish. You will need to be a high performer with a proven track record of success with the ability to grow accounts and territories significantly. You will be a very polished presenter and comfortable interacting with senior executives. You will also need to be tenacious, optimistic and indefatigable, able to listen to your clients and the markets to come up with new ideas for sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
