The Company
· A leading supplier of innovative products within civil engineering.
The Role
· The Export Sales Manager is responsible for the development of the International product and services within a defined number of countries.
· Gain a complete understanding of opportunities for sales by identifying routes to market and customer base of Influencers and end users and put in place a strategy for timely and ongoing communication to customer base..
· Understanding of the Macro economy of each country, project stages and potential and key influencers so as to provide an accurate sales opportunity analysis.
· Promote products and provide technical communication forums through Workshops, seminars, case studies, technical papers, literature, press articles, referrals etc.
· Organise sales team support for territory through all stages of projects and customer requirements and utilise all sales tools so as to best manage opportunities and time within territory.
The Candidate
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills:
· Degree standard or similar in Civil Engineering.
· The successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 years construction experience, which should include some international work.
· Sound understanding of Contract law to ensure that the Company’s position is protected.
· Several years experience in Civil Engineering design and Construction with particular emphasis on geotechnical engineering at similar level.
· Ability to make on the spot assessments and judgements relating to the use of the Company’s products, sometimes under extreme cost pressure conditions.
· Time management, the job is reliant on individual’s strengths to plan work independently.
· Good communication and presentation skills and the ability to establish good working relationships within company and external customers.
· Proven technical competence. Knowledge of geosynthetics/reinforced soil, along with experience in sales is desirable.
· The position requires extensive overseas travel, including Africa, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Israel.
