This prestigious firm has their roots in Suffolk going back to 1863 and is a long established and highly successful law practice. They offer a full range of legal services, with the exception of publicly funded Legal Aid work. With offices in Ipswich, Norwich and Cambridge, and plans afoot for further growth, they are well on our way to achieving their ambition to be the leading regional firm in the East of England. Their core business is split across three main divisions - corporate and commercial; property and private client services. Within those principal areas of practice, we have established a number of industry groups covering sectors such as food and farming, logistics, the public sector, and social housing. Over recent years the firm has enjoyed exceptional growth in all areas. Total staff now number 275, 38 of whom are partners.
The Family Team provides advice in all aspects of divorce and relationship breakdown, both financial arrangements and issues involving children, along with experience in a number of other highly specialist areas, including
·Inheritance disputes
·Cohabitation disputes
·Child abduction
·Domestic violence
The firm are members of Resolution (previously known as the Solicitors' Family Law Association (SFLA)) and they are committed to its conciliatory and constructive approach to disputes involving families. In addition the Family Team is led by one of the country's first batch of lawyers trained in Collaborative Law - a unique method of dispute resolution (a form of lawyer based mediation) which has been developed over the past decade in the United States.
The Family/Matrimonial team is looking for a solicitor with 5-6 years PQE (salary dependant upon experience) with a background in this field. The ideal candidate will be from a London firm or a large corporate firm.
