Finance Director

Previous experience within a recycling sector in a highly transactional business is essential. Your most recent experience should be working with General Managers to improve the financial performance of analogous operations e.g. logistics, distribution, manufacturing/assembly, and transport, together with contributing towards and analysing options for the business' strategic direction. As part of the organisation's growth and development plans, the role will encompass the following:
- ensure that all local controls, systems and reporting methods are robust and in line with Group needs
- review acquisition opportunities and ensure the effective integration of all acquired entities
- play a key role in the development of the business in terms of challenging and supporting operational and commercial performance

The successful candidate will need to establish early credibility as a demaning and pro-active team member and manager of people. It will be vital at an early stage to understand the detail of the operations and processes in each of the Group Holdings and to initiate financially based analysis to improve their ongoing performance, and assist the management in assessing their potential for growth in the future. It will also be important to review the provision of financial reporting information within the subsidiary, and to streamline and improve the flow of appropriate data to meet the organisation's needs.
