You will also be required to meet my client's Business Plan objectives and be responsible for investment appraisal and evaluation of new development and business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
* To contribute to the development and delivery of the Group's financial plan
* To provide strategic analysis of financial results and information
* To appraise, analyse and report on new growth and business opportunities
* To lead the Group's budget setting process and support budget holders in setting and managing budgets
* To lead the financial planning process for the Group
* To be responsible for the completion of statutory and management accounts within agreed deadlines
* To ensure a full, accurate and up-to-date financial service to budget holders, senior management teams and boards within agreed deadlines and timescales
* To work in partnership with senior management teams to provide excellent services and innovative solutions to meet their business needs
* To manage and maintain effective relationships and communications with auditors, financial advisers, regulators etc.
* To maintain an up to date knowledge of relevant accounting policies and guidance and ensure that financial accounts and procedures are compliant with relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks
Essential requirements:
- Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
- Extensive experience of leading high quality, customer focused teams
- Experience of working within group structures with multi functions/business
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships internally with other business areas and externally
- Analytical and logical thinking skills with the ability to operate at both a strategic and detailed level
- Management qualification or equivalent
