Job Description
1. Responsible for the recruitment and evaluation of resources to carry out the financial roles & activities with the Managing Director.
2. Overall control of the Company's accounting function.
3. Supervision of Account Administrators.
4. Set up and maintain new Sage system in line with company procedures.
5. Maintaining account records on Sage.
6. Produce regular cash flow forecasts.
7. Supervise and control the sales ledger.
8. Supervise and control the purchase ledger.
9. Produce monthly and year end accounts.
10. Supervise Client Invoicing and Applications.
11. Supervise Supplier Payments.
12. Supervise and control Payroll / PAYE / NI / P11d's.
13. Ensure correspondence with HMRC and VAT returns are maintained in accordance with the current rules and regulations.
14. Responsible for Credit Control.
15. Liaise and attend meetings with other Company functions as required.
16. Maximise the profit potential of the Company.
17. Provide financial planning and related ongoing advice for the Managing Director and Senior Management.
18. Formulating financial targets and budgets in accordance with the strategy determined by the Board.
19. Overall control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems.
20. Corporate finance: managing company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions, as appropriate.
21. Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met regarding all the company's financial affairs.
Person Specification
It is essential the successful candidates possess:
- Accounting Qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Worked on several high value contract accounting
- Strategic approach
- Proven commercial acumen
- Proven business development skills
