Finance Director - Legal firm

A leading specialist law firm based in the City of London is looking to recruit a Finance Director to take full ownership of the firm's finances. This is an executive position, providing: credible, financial steerage, controls and leadership for the highly capable but newly established Operational Finance team, driving high levels of accuracy and discipline across the finance function and audit process.

You will be responsible for developing financial strategies and provide full financial analysis to aid the Partners decisions with internal controls, banks and outside auditors. You will also be required to take full ownership of all financial operations including accounting, financial analysis, credit control and credit functions, time recording and billing, accounts payable and receivable collections and financial reporting.

The successful applicant will be familiar with the process of growing an operating platform from early stage success to a fully scaled-up business. This will likely involve introducing third-party capital, so familiarity with corporate and fund structuring, negotiation and management is essential. Familiarity within the legal sector is a requirement. In the medium term this role will offer the right candidate the opportunity to create business plans to assist with the grow of the business into new verticals, with a long term potential to become a partner.
