Finance Manager (Fortune 500 Company)

Requirements: The Company is looking to recruit a qualified Finance Manager for part of their EMEA markets. The position will be based in Central London and will report at Director level and will require you to spend no more than 50f your role travelling within the EMEA region.

Managing two qualified ACAs with responsibility for 51 consolidated trading units with a combined turnover of US$220m, you will need to be a qualified Accountant from either a Top 20 Practice or from within commerce and industry and possess a number of years PQE experience.

Your duties will include: -

• Regular planning and coordination of your team’s agenda and reviewing and consolidating the team’s deliverables
• Monthly reporting and accounting review of all agencies within your specific area
• Review of agency risk, staff assessment and performance
• Monthly variance analysis of all agencies and regular agency visits within your area of responsibility
• Coordination with one of the Big 4 on external audits and monitoring the quality of the agency deliverables
• Co-ordination and communication with other functional groups to facilitate enhanced accounting support of the agencies in your area
• Ad-hoc support of agencies to further develop and improve processes both on operational and strategic level.

This is NOT and internal audit role as the business has an internal audit function based in the USA, but internal audit/compliance experience (understanding a company from ‘the inside’, dealing with different accounting staff, dealing with business, accounting and process issues etc) is beneficial. However this Finance Manager role contains an equal amount of reporting/variance analysis work.

To be considered for this role you must have a sound knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbox (SOX) and experience of Hyperion and/or SAP is considered an advantage. You must also be able and willing to undertake up to 50% travel.
