Our client is a world class banking organisation with the size, scope and ambition to be able to offer significant opportunities for long-term career development.
This highly visible position reports directly to the COA and sits within the insurance arm of the business in the UK, Europe & Middle East covering life and general insurance.
Key Accountabilities;
 Preparation of analytical reviews on a monthly basis, identifying key movements compared to prior month and prior year.
 Liaise with regional actuary to ensure that changes in assumptions, experiences and variances in the measurement of insurance liabilities.
 Assist with the preparation of technical accounting papers covering new product launches and ad hoc technical accounting queries.
 Develop a detailed regional product log which includes product details, contract accounting and key performance indicators.
 Liaise with regional MI team on a regular basis to understand MI results and correlation with statuary results.
 Maintain technical accounting issue log
 Supporting in the production of its published consolidated accounts.
Skills/Knowledge;
You will need to be a qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent), with experience working within a financial institution, preferably within the insurance sector. Experience with financial control reviews, analytical reviews, analytical review preparation and relationship management. Strong IFRS knowledge essential, all round technical accounting skills.
