Finance Manager

Location: : City of London - London City/Central
Rate: £50K to £55K (per year) + Benefits
Our client is a division of one of the world's largest and most successful companies, founded and headed by a business legend. The business is in the aviation sector and is experiencing significant growth.
• People Management - manage, coach and develop the finance analyst, delegating suitable tasks as appropriate and overseeing finance projects
• Billing - build relationship with the Customer Services Manager and Senior Commercial Analyst, ensuring the department operates cohesively
Financial Analysis and Support:
• Corporate Reporting and Financial Analysis – manage the delivery of all external reports (including Statutory accounts, holding company and external/govt. organisations)
• Central finance - provide appropriate support to Central finance for month end work relating to the London office: accruals, salaries, marketing analysis, commissions
• Commissions - manage sales commissions reporting and process
• Invoicing – collaborate with the Client Services Manager regarding contractual billing and credit control issues
• Tax guidance - provide appropriate tax guidance to clients and delegate appropriately to finance analyst
• Projects/Compliance - manage and co-ordinate tax projects, taxation planning, tax returns and liaison with holding company tax departments
Finance/Sales/Marketing Liaison:
• Internal controls – maintain records of internal financial controls and ensure compliance
• Budget – support cost centre managers through budget process
• Finance policies – drive adherence to finance processes across business (incl. purchase orders / expenses etc)
Skills & Experience:
• Team management skills
• Big 4 trained (preferable) qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA etc). First time passes
• Ability to develop relationships across the organisation – sales, marketing, operations, contracts etc
• Significant experience in analysis (including development of financial models)
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work pro-actively on own initiative
• Broad based experience with ability to handle multiple projects concurrently within a very dynamic/constantly changing environment
• Ability to manage external consultants/advisers
• Excellent communication skills with experience and ability to interact with senior management (CFO, FD, CEO, other directors within executive office)
• European Tax knowledge would be advantageous
• Microsoft office – Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills to very high level
