Finance Manager

You will be responsible for the financial control and reporting of financial performance of business.

The main responsibilities will be:

Commercial/business support

•Commercial and financial support to the business and contract managers as required including financial support and
•Develop commercial understanding and monitor financial projections of key contracts
•Identifying areas for cost control and cost improvement
•Develop close working relationships with operational management within the business
•Control and commentary on annual business plan for contracts

Management Accounts:

•Responsibility for preparation and review of monthly management accounts
•Final account reconciliations for each contract
•Ensure key monthly reconciliations are completed.
•Control and analysis of overheads for business unit
•Preparation and review of rolling forecasts
•Preparation of year-end information for auditors and replying to questions thereon

Cash flow

•Preparation of weekly cash forecasts and comparison to budget
•Control and analysis of working capital for business unit

Business Plans

•Production and commentary on annual business plan for business unit

Ad Hoc

•Additional functions as required and as appropriate

Essential Skills

•Relevant experience in a management accounting role in a commercial environment
•Analytical approach to problem solving
•Excellent IT skills
•Suitably qualified/qualified by experience

Desirable Skills

•Familiarity with commercial reviews and legal documentation
