Finance Manager
High Wycombe - Thames Valley
The Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring that reporting is accurate and timely, along with managing the statutory and accounting processes for the corporate headquarters for a number of European entities. The candidate will be a key contributor to the forecast & planning processes, working with the European businesses units to enable an understanding of local financial performance and developing consistent, concise forecasts and plans.
* Full responsibility for Monthly close in a correct and timely manner;
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial and management reporting;
* Manage reporting of financial information to Corporate Headquarters, including budget/forecast submission and reporting of performance against objectives.
* Preparation of the weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts for the various entities, including variance analyses to previous submissions;
* Prepare/review account reconciliations;
* Perform inter-company reconciliations;
* Maintaining departmental operational costs within budget;
* Manage the accounting process for various transactions;
* Preparation of the VAT returns in various jurisdictions;
* Preparation of Statutory Accounts and compliance with local GAP;
* Driving continuous improvement and step changes in processes to deliver a more efficient and effective financial reporting and analysis;
* Business partnering, supporting EU management teams in understanding their financial data and performance, including the preparation of ad hoc reports for various directors;
* Maintain compliance with company process and procedures;
* Lead, motivate and develop a team of two direct reports;
* Liaise with external tax advisors;
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with relevant post qualification experience, ideally with European exposure.
Experience within the FMCG sector and SAP is compulsary.
Package on offer - £65-75k plus 15% bonus plus extensive additional benefits.
