Finance Manager
Colchester - East Anglia
The role will encompass and hold responsibility for both financial control and reporting in addition to business partnering an analytical duties. Company secretarial duties are also key here in the development and progression of this new organisation and the entities within.
Reporting into senior management, duties include the following:
Drive budgetary cost control to ensure adherence to budgets.
Manage cash flow for Holding Co and subsidiaries.
Finance lead for delivery of financial information required during property
developments or transactions ie acquisitions and disposals.
Work closely with the sister organisation's Chief Finance officer and other team
members to ensure the financial implications are fully understood and reported accurately.
Ensure that finance systems are established and properly maintained and
that appropriate control procedures exist.
Overall responsibilities for the month end process ensuring deadlines are
met.
Ensure all financial policies, systems and procedures are current, mitigate
the risks of error and fraud, and are supported by robust business
continuity arrangements.
Ensure tax returns are completed in line with statutory requirements.
Prepare Board meeting information, monthly management accounts and
year end reports.
Play an integral role in the commercial and strategic management of the
company
Many other ad hoc duties relating to both commercial, financial and operational requirements.
The successful candidate will be fully qualified with a commercial and operation outlook. You will have strong experience and proven track record of similar senior finance exposure with the ability to hit the ground running and suggest improvements and different ways of working.
Business partnering and the ability to influence key stakeholders is crucial here, in addition to excellent communication, IT and organisation skills. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive business in a senior leadership capacity.
