Position reports to VP Finance.

Our client, an international, market leading, privately held technology company providing a suite of security software and services to the SMB and consumer market, is seeking a Finance Systems Manager.

This new opportunity has arisen for a driven senior financial systems accountant in the role of Finance Systems Manager, reporting directly to the VP, Finance to take total responsibility for the Finance Systems unit currently comprised of virtual teams covering Help Desk, RFC and Projects. The Finance Systems function is tasked with maintaining and improving the administration of the financial systems including system related financial controls, databases and reporting functionality, and to provide financial systems resource to both the Business as Usual operational needs and the various change initiatives, both small and large.

To excel in this role the successful candidate needs the ability to lead virtual teams positively and effectively through periods of intense change and will have financial system project implementation experience with SAP FICO. Significant previous hands-on experience of SAP is essential, as is a strong commercial awareness, business acumen and organisational sensitivity. Applicants need to demonstrate flexibility, gravitas, and commitment and be prepared to sustain that in a very hectic environment with long hours and extremely tight deadlines. Excellent English is mandatory whilst any Czech language skills would be considered an asset.

Job Purpose Summary: To manage the evolution, expansion and operation of the company’s finance systems.

Person-Profile
Specific Job Skills: Qualified / Part Qualified in a recognised Accounting Qualification. Extensive knowledge and experience of SAP (FI-CO) essential. Managing teams of professionals in an SAP finance environment essential.

Computer skills: Competency in SAP FICO is highly desirable if not essential. Must be adept in use of MS Office 2003 or preferably 2007, Internet and MS Outlook/Exchange and SharePoint preferred, but previous use of corporate office email and calendaring essential.

Literacy and Numeracy: Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads, etc. Must be a very competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals.

Business Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator. Ability to produce clear articulate reports and other documents essential. Negotiating skills, and organisational change management are highly desirable.

Management Ability: Experience of recruitment and management of permanent and contract staff essential with ability to demonstrate success and experience managing small teams and senior individual contributors highly beneficial.
