Financial Analyst

McGinnis Loy Associates are proud to be working with a large and highly renowned multi-site business who have highly recognisable brands across the UK and are looking to strengthen their Finance team by recruiting a talented Financial/Commercial Analyst. You will be a key support to the Executive team providing financial and commercial insights, assisting with budgeting and capital appraisal processes and preparing MI reports. Responsibilities include:

• Partnering with the Senior Directors & management team to develop and maintain high quality weekly and monthly reporting including commentary
• Create and present business reports including profitability analysis, sales dashboard data, product analysis and customer analysis
• Assist in the budgeting & CAPEX allocation and approval processes
• Leading the financial aspects of the periodic sales order process and challenging managers in the Business Review Meetings
• Provide analysis and evaluation of the success of key promotional campaigns
• Preparation of weekly sales and labour forecasting reports for Senior Management
• Assisting Regional managers in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
• Liaising with the wider finance team on adhering to tight month-end deadlines for financial reporting
• Business partner with operations, marketing, property and commercial teams on ad-hoc projects – eg evaluating pricing proposals and preparing competitor analysis reports

To be considered for the role the company is seeking a CIMA/ACCA Finalist or qualified Accountant with proven analysis and relationship-building skills who has previous experience of supporting non-finance Managers (Sales, Operations, Marketing etc). Experience of a multi-site environment and working in a private-equity backed company would be highly desirable, perhaps from the FMCG, Distribution or Retail sector. You should have strong Excel and other database skills with a can-do, proactive and collaborative attitude; and a proven track record in a similar commercial role.
