Financial Controller - Engineering & Construction

Job Description

Your key responsibilities include legal entity controller ship accountability such as entity profitability review, entity governance and statutory/tax compliance.

This includes working in close collaboration with team members and other functional teams in implementing changes and driving consistency, identifying standardisation and simplification opportunities and drive a strong control environment to maintain the highest standard of accounting controls and compliance.

You will play an active role in ad-hoc projects that contributes to successful completion and implementation to support business operations.

As a member of the management team, you will be required to build and contribute to short and long-term organisational planning and strategy.

You will be committed to partner with teams to meet deliverable that are aligned with key performance metrics and service level agreements defined with key stakeholders.

You will be required to lead and drive stakeholder communication and rigor.



Person Specification

* More than 15 years of related commercial working experience, preferably in a fast-paced building services environment.
* Meticulous and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to recognise issues within processes and organizations, while considering functional interdependencies.
* Strong team lead with ability to manage across areas of the business and staff.
* Possess a passion for business process excellence.
* Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
* Practical hands on experience of Sage and Sage Construction.
* Ensuring positive cash flow position is achieved.
Reconciliation, produce and report budgets, cash flow, bank accounts, management accounts and audited accounts
* Dealing with HMRC submissions.
