Financial Controller

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a hands-on Financial Controller / Finance Manager to join a dynamic expanding global consultancy business based in Hertfordshire. Whilst managing a small team you will have overall responsibility for the finance function whilst reporting to the Finance Director. The role will involve the following:

•Direct reports from a small finance team, comprising a senior accountant, purchase and sales ledger functions, payroll function and pensions administrator with indirect reports from the rest of the Admin team.
•Responsible for reporting trading results of European operations.
•Maintain complete integrity of Sage accounting system.
•Ensuring all transactions are accurately and completely recorded.
•Ensuring compliance across different jurisdictions.
•Developing new and enhancing existing business processes, systems and controls.
•Identifying challenges and issues that need to be addressed and present solutions.
•Preparation of monthly financial and management reports on a timely basis
•Supporting senior management in implementing business strategy.

The successful candidate will speak and write fluent German, and be a qualified accountant
