Financial Controller

McGinnis Loy Associates are proud to be working with a multi-site Business Services company who are seeing substantial growth, and are now looking to recruit a technically strong Financial Controller who can oversee all month-end duties, management reporting for joint-ventures, review internal controls/processes and present at SMT and Board meetings. Reporting to the Finance Director, your duties will include:

• Managing a shared service finance team of 12+ staff
• Delivering month-end accounts for the UK joint-venture businesses within strict deadlines
• Preparing all reporting schedules and board packs for the business
• Preparation of the year-end statutory accounts, and liaising with external auditors at year-end
• Making improvements to management information and business risk tools to improve efficiency
• Monthly finance/business presentations to the Board and external stakeholders
• Ensuring year-end Payroll, CT and Quarterly VAT compliance for all joint-venture entities
• Undertaking monthly cost centre reviews and annual budgeting / forecasting duties

To be considered for the role, you should ideally have started your career in the profession; be ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified with a strong technical and (more recently) business focused finance background. Experience working in a multi-site, shared services or multi-reporting environment would be a distinct advantage, as there is a drive to improve both the efficiency and reporting detail of the Finance function.
