Fund Accountant of Real Estate Finance

The role is to work in a team of fund accountants which deals with the accounting of real estate funds, for a major client of the J. P. Morgan Group, with direct property investments. Reporting to an Account Manager in a fast moving environment the role will be ideal for candidates nearing the end of a professional accounting qualification who have had the benefit of a fund accounting background.

The role will be based in the UK.

Responsibilities:
• First review of financial data received from the clients' property managers, checking for completeness and accuracy of information;
• Processing of data my way of journals into our real estate accounting system;
• Perform cut off and monthly adjustments within our MRI system;
• Assist in the performance of monthly balance sheet substantiation and reconciliations;
• Understand client relationships and expectations and ensure client deliverables are met in a timely fashion;
• Identify fund issues and escalate to Account Manager on a timely basis;
• Deal with errors or validation queries on information received from the client or the clients' advisers;
• Preparation of monthly fund management accounts;
• Be part of the "four eyes" control approach adopted within the business; and
• Work closely with other members of the Team to provide the client with a robust service.
