Established for more than 50 years and now with c.300 branches around the UK, our client is a high profile tool hire organization whose name is synonymous with the highest standards of customer care, product innovation and service quality. A policy of consistent organic growth and careful acquisition leaves the business profitable, ambitious and growing and there are now opportunities for high calibre individuals to lead a number of flagship branches and help take the company to the next level.
In this crucial role you will provide strong leadership to a team of up to 50 staff in your own and associated branches, constantly reviewing all aspects of the operation to achieve improvements in quality, productivity, processes and people. Hands on, you will lead by example and maintain a focus on staff coaching, motivation and training needs. Whilst striving to exceed targets in such areas as sales, profit, stock utilization and debt control you will also pursue the highest levels of customer satisfaction. With support from your Regional Director and others you will devise and implement sales initiatives and focus your team on managed, profitable growth.
You will be an outstanding, proven people manager with excellent communication skills and an involving style. You will have true leadership qualities – you will be able to inspire others and carry them with you. Commercially astute, you will have demonstrated your ability to see a commercial opportunity and exploit it. You will also be strategic in your thinking, able to see ‘the big picture’ and to progress further in a business which rewards excellence. Whilst ideal candidates would have experience in tool hire/plant hire or a related market, consideration (and training) will be given to others who demonstrate the required skills and attitudes; your precise background is less critical than your drive, dynamism and desire to make a real difference.
