With sales revenue of c£80m and UK privately owned, this group specialises in the provision of switching and protection systems for electrical distribution for power utility and industrial applications. Its technology is at the cutting edge of mv switchgear design and innovation.
A vertically integrated group with its prime manufacturing unit in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, in Dubai, operations in UK and India, it operates in Saudi Arabia through a factory in Al Khobar and a suite of offices in Dammam. Having operated in Saudi since the 1970’s, it is now undergoing a major investment programme which will include relocation to a new, dedicated manufacturing location.
The role objective is to establish a manufacturing and operational facility in the Kingdom that is capable of optimising on the potential for growth which exists in the marketplace. It is a genuine leadership position which encompasses a breadth of responsibility across all functions with P&L accountability, whilst also being the group’s principal representative in the Kingdom. The position provides scope for the development of commercial and operational plans appropriate to the Saudi market in collaboration with other group executives.
You will have had similar general management experience in Saudi Arabia where you can clearly demonstrate an understanding of Saudi law and Saudi business practice. Your core competency will be in manufacturing and operational management but of equal importance will be your breadth of commercial experience and P&L responsibility in this country.
