Global Head of Production

Global Head of Production Needed! A charismatic and influential leader with a real focus on improvement is required to join a leading software and communications company as ‘Global Head of Production'. The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of both global Development and global Quality Assurance teams (approx 80 people); ensuring that they consistently produce high quality, on schedule delivery of software releases. The individual will initiate, drive and implement changes in the production process to improve its efficiency and implement changes.

With first rate communication skills and the ability to deliver complex solutions for customers needs; the incumbent will be able to demonstrate significant experience working across the entire Development lifecycle in an Agile environment using Scrum (gathering of clients requirements to delivery) and should have experience of integrating automated functional testing software, automated load testing software and test driven development. Core tasks will include:

* Planning, co-ordinating and managing the scheduling of product releases and resources; ensuring products are released to the agreed schedule and functional content.

* Ensure solutions produced are of a high quality. Actively and continually promoting quality and ensure there is a focus on quality throughout the SDLC.

* Initiate, drive and implement changes in the production process to improve its efficiency and productivity.

* Plan and implement a strategy to develop the skills of the global production team

* Implement agile processes and engineering practices across the organisation

* Co-ordinate work and drive process improvement across the three development centres in London, New York and Hong Kong.

Significant commercial experience of managing teams in geographically dispersed locations who are focussed on the development of Microsoft technologies is essential. Commercial experience of the Investment Banking sector is highly desirable.
