Our client is a long-established, highly reputable New Zealand statutory trust company, which offers a comprehensive range of specialised services. The company is headquartered in Wellington and has operations nationally in New Zealand.
Our client, as a statutory trust company with a long history and excellent pedigree, has now decided to enter the foreign trust marketplace to offer, initially, a NZ foreign trust service. Our client is also exploring the ability to offer foreign trusts based in other jurisdictions with a similar status to New Zealand (such as Singapore).
To this end, an experienced trust marketing professional is needed to assist in the establishment of this business and then lead its marketing efforts.
Skills and Knowledge
-Sound knowledge of the global trust market as a whole, and the New Zealand trust market in particular
-Awareness of taxation issues in relevant jurisdictions and understanding of tax planning
-A complete understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, money laundering regulations, suspicious and fraudulent transactions, and the reporting of such
-A good understanding of trust and company law
-A good understanding of the types of investment available to companies and trusts
-A good understanding of the development of the trust concept and how a trust is established, administered and dissolved
-Outstanding interpersonal and persuasive communication skills at all levels, including prospective introducers, HNWI clients, professional contacts
-High levels of communication will also be required with the executive director and group executive, who will expect proactive communication, call reports, detailed reports on meetings held, etc.
-Ability and confidence to make effective presentations to individuals or groups
-Sound knowledge of the firm’s products and the ability to recognise opportunities to cross
