Global Quality Manager – reporting to the General Manager, this highly visible global role is responsible for the following:
Provide Leadership in Quality Excellence for the Global Business in Systems, People, Processes and Product. Lead Innovation in instilling Quality as a Business Practice and Ethos.
Maintain, improve and drive the global quality program.
Embrace the responsibility for leading the voice of the customer in product quality, safety and integrity and provision of first class services levels to exceed customer expectation.

PERSON SPEC
10 - Extensive current experience, and successful track record as Quality Manager with multi site/global responsibility
10 - Strong experience of quality management within a cross-functional team with regards to Systems, People, Processes and Product
10 - Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and practices – and broad/deep quality experience
10 - Previous experience in either manufacturing operations (OEM) or international subcontract manufacturing operations (CEM/EMS)
10 - Qualifications - Degree level equivalent, ideally in an engineering/technical discipline.
10 - Solid knowledge of ISO 9000 , QS9000 & TS16949 quality systems
10 - Good understanding of practices within the manufacturing environment - FMEA, Capability Studies, Gage R&R, DOE, Statistical Control, DR etc.
10 - Interpersonal skills - exceptional listening, understanding, influencing and communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills - politically astute
10 - Leadership personality - role model, standard-setter, coach, motivator - can organize and direct groups consisting of various functions
10 - Problem-solving role model - excellent reasoning ability - to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions - solves problems with intangible factors in creative and effective ways -executes/drives resolution of critical issues through effective application of best practices - can work on multiple, complex problems requiring evaluation of many variables
10 - Willingness to travel for potentially extensive periods of time
10 - Evidence of successful management of change within a manufacturing organisation
10 - Experienced auditor
9 - Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels within and outside of the organization.
9 - Excellent interpersonal, people management skills, negotiation and multicultural communications skills
8 - PC proficient, including Excel, Word, MS Project, Power Point
8- Good appreciation of Black Belt/Sigma/Lean methodology, and can demonstrate application of similar thinking/tools - ideally black belt trained
8 - Languages - fluency in English and ideally Chinese
