LOCATION: UK - you must be able to work in either Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham, option available to work from home for 1 day. Relocation package available for the right candidate

SALARY AND BENEFITS: £70,000 + Car allowance + yearly bonus 20% (performance related), Bupa family healthcare + pension

My client is a privately owned business, who enjoys a strong market presence in their field. A worldwide group with a turnover in excess of £1.2 billion, operating in 90 countries with 35 manufacturing sites

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE:

- Expertise in purchasing resins for a large international company - (ideal industry backgrounds are plastics/automotive/FMCG/Chemical)
- Experience in managing a large spend - £20 million and over
- Exposure in purchasing from multiple countries/continents

IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

- Certificate in purchasing or supply chain
- Proven success within relationship management
- A strong business acumen along with a desire to drive new ideas
- Strong negotiation skills

ROLE INFORMATION:

- This is a senior role within an international business, reporting to the global purchasing director you will be required to manage a large spend of approximately £200 million within resins.

- Dealing on a worldwide basis you will be responsible for purchasing resins for the group with the primary purpose being to manage a cross divisional Polymer spend.

- You will be required to create and maintain a detailed category spend diagnostic along with ensuring that supplier relationship management strategies are in place. Other duties will include developing long term sourcing strategy, driving cost saving projects, promoting continuous improvement and to track, analyse and report statistical data on cost data and future trends.

- This is a senior procurement position which exists only for the ideal candidate, you will not be successful without expertise in plastic resins within a large business.
