Leading digital performance marketing agency and the UKs number one search marketing specialist are looking for a group account director to manage a Vertical of clients. This role is responsible for the P&L of the channel and will consist of revenue and cost targets with budgets applying in all areas. This person will set the business objectives of their team in conjunction with the Deputy Managing Director. As the head of the vertical you will be responsible for keeping ahead of industry developments for the relevant client sectors.

Key responsibilities:
• Retention and growth of all channel clients.
• Tracking and maintaining the profitability of all channel clients through allocation of appropriate resource and, if necessary, the re-negotiation of commercials.
• Forecasting and re-forecasting client revenues. Delivery of channel revenue (both PPC and new products) against an agreed yearly target.
• Setting cost budgets.
• Provides management, support and development opportunities for account team.
• Provides leadership for a number of direct reports and passing on industry knowledge to the team.
• Provides direction to account executive team to drive revenue and client satisfaction through effective and efficient account execution.
• Works with Account Director and account team to identify cross selling opportunities and supports team in closing them.
• Leading strategic client direction.
• Developing senior relationships within clients business.
• Working with New Business management in identifying strategic acquisition targets.
• Works closely with Operations Director to ensure efficient delivery of services and support to the account teams.
• Provides escalation and exceptions management support to account executive team.
• Success indicators and measures.
• Achievement of quarterly/yearly financial targets.
• Growth of paid search and non-paid search business.
• Client retention
• Staff retention and development
• Channel profitability
• High visibility in industry press and regular speaking slots at industry events.

Essential skills, strengths and experience:
• Excellent account management/development skills.
• Excellent management skills.
• Experience in client facing role, sector specific knowledge a plus.
• Well rounded online industry experience with good understanding of search marketing.
• Experienced in leading a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to sell the company and present it to potential clients.
• Astute commercial awareness.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in online marketing with at least 4 years account management experience and will ideally have had client side experience as well.
