Group Accountant

The Group Accountant will be responsible for finance and taxation activities in the UK and, to a lesser extent, in India and the USA. Detailed responsibilities will include:
- group and individual companies P&L and balance sheet management as well as consolidation accounting
- planning, controlling (budgeting, forecasting, analysis, internal control, sales planning) versus group management
- treasury for group and constituent companies; this includes managing the currency requirements
- taxation for group and constituent companies; this includes UK corporation and UK VAT as well as other UK taxation issues
- statutory accounting for the group
- accounting including IFRS application as well as UK GAAP
- other duties as required

This role will suit an individual who 'loves' numbers! If you enjoy producing accurate management and financial accounts and have a determination to investigate and understand the detail, for example the variances in the manufacturing processes, stock variances, purchase variancest, etc, this is the job for you.

You will also need to be a fully qualified accountant with a provent track record in financial accounting with the technical and/or high tech manufacturing sector. You will also need to be very competent with MS Excel and have a good grasp of IFRS.
