Group Financial Controller (Prague)
Prague, Czech Republic - Home Based
Our client, a global security software firm, is seeking a Group Financial Controller / Deputy CFO. The ideal candidate will have experience as a deputy CFO/ Group Controller in a software or telecoms company (preferably public experience)

Role: Group Financial Controller
Reporting to: CFO
Location: Prague, Czech Republic
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the financial department of the group with reporting line to CFO
• Develop financial reports to determine forecasts, trends and results analysis which will interpret financial transactions and events for economic or business decision-makers.
• Conduct cost and performance analysis and recommend budget adjustments and other cost improvement measures.
• Treasury and foreign exchange management.
• Plan and conduct comprehensive studies to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the units in the different geographies.
• Manage Regional Financial Controllers.
• Liaise on a daily basis with the senior management team of the company.
• Preparation of audit information.
• Preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Develop policy and procedure manuals for accounting departments.
• Project work as required.
Skills/Experience Required
• Experience as a deputy CFO/ Group Controller in a software or telecoms company (preferably public experience)
• Qualified Accountant with PQE 5+ years.
• Strong people management & leadership skills
• Excellent project management skills
• IFRS knowledge
• Business Intelligence software (Cognos preferred)
• Professional with strong organisational and planning skills
• SAP Financials (preferred)
• Strong commercial awareness
• Decision making skills
• Detail orientated.
• High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative and commitment
• Good communication and persuasive skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a busy environment and react quickly to changes within the business
• Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written
