Group Financial Controller

Hamworthy plc is a global market leader in specialist equipment and services to the marine industry and offshore and onshore oil and gas markets. Since flotation in ‘04 the company has delivered impressive returns to shareholders. Revenues for financial year end Mar ‘08 stand at £231.8 million, up 21% on ‘07 .



A Group Financial Controller role has been newly created to assist the Group Finance Director in delivering the financial infrastructure to facilitate further growth. You will be responsible for reporting on financial & commercial internal controls and risk management across the group and will play a key role in business performance analysis, acquisition due diligence and post acquisition integration work.



A qualified Accountant with experience of an industrial environment, you will evidence first class technical competence allied with strong commercial acumen. You will be a strong communicator, able to work with financial and non-financial managers on critical business issues. Previous experience in an internal control environment will be an advantage
