Group Financial Controller

Skills required: comprehensive experience/knowledge of IFRS; ACA qualified (or equivalent); trained within ‘Big 4' environment; shipping background desirable.
Ideally suited to a Manager trained within a large firm of Chartered Accountants looking to make a step in Commerce & Industry. You will: regularly appraise the CEO and the Board; establish the requirements for financial and management accounting control; personally review all key balance sheet and P&L items; optimise gains available from the astute cash, working capital, cash flow, Forex and interest rates management; to develop, propose, agree ensure the implementation of a risk management approach; to embed an understanding of ‘risk' throughout the Group; to ensure that Internal Audit, though separate, forms an intrinsic part of risk management; to ensure the Finance function (at the centre and throughout global operations) is adequately and optimally organised and staffed with the capability to satisfy the requirements; to establish and lead the implementation of regular reviews throughout the business, of progress against plan/forecast/budget, ensuring that the data is transparent Compliance and Regulatory; to ensure that all finance and financial activities meet and comply with the requirements of the regulatory Authorities.
