Our client is a growing, privately-owned, engineering services business with an enviable client base and ambitious plans for the future. Having grown both organically and through acquisition, the company recognises the need to position HR centrally to support its future strategies and to build a best practice, commercially-focused function, designed to meet the business goals.
Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director, this newly created high-profile role will be a key member of the senior management team with responsibility for providing a comprehensive range of HR services to the group, its subsidiaries and its employees. This will involve developing and implementing leading-edge HR strategies and policies to ensure competitiveness, provide succession planning and ensure training and development plans match organisational aspirations. Particular emphasis will be on supporting their rapidly changing sector through the pro-active recruitment of qualified and appropriate people across their various sites and ensuring contracts are appropriate and compliant.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong record of achievement as a senior HR professional, with practical experience and knowledge of HR best practice. Whilst industry experience will be advantageous, the individual will be committed to helping to maintain a strong SHE culture and be passionate about employee relations and communication. A strong understanding of volume recruitment strategies and supporting the varying requirements of both permanent and contract personnel is desirable, along with a real passion for talent development.
