Group Marketing Manager – IT Solutions

Our client is a leading IT solutions and services group providing software, consultancy and managed services. They are looking for a Group Marketing Manager who will have overall management of the Groups Marketing activities and the Marketing team.
Primary Role
• Management and active involvement in all Marketing Communications activities across the Group
• Day to day management of the Marketing team.
• Management of the Group’s appointed PR Agencies in both the UK and USA
• Management of third party external suppliers to the marketing function
• Overall management of the Group’s web site which involves co-ordinating input from Divisional Managing Directors, Director of Product Management and other senior Operating Board members
• Overall co-ordination of the Group’s active engagement with Market Analysts; including Gartner, Forrester and Datamonitor. This includes direct communication with the Analysts, working with the Development Director, Head of Product Management to formulate positioning statements and accurately communicating these on a day to day basis
• Overall co-ordination of the Group’s Marketing budget
• Co-ordination of all Group marketing events such as exhibitions, seminars, breakfast briefings and internal events.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
• Proven track record, with several years of demonstrable and relevant experience, as a Senior Marketing Executive/Manager
• People management experience
• Must have a Degree or equivalent.
• Ideally a CIM qualification
• A candidate with experience of working for an established Software vendor will have a distinct advantage especially in the Business Process Management sector
• Experience of working at Board level
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge:
• Knowledge and proven experience of Software marketing
• Suitable degree level qualification/CIM qualification
• Experience of the Financial Services/Energy market would be advantageous or direct experience of Business Process Management concepts
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent written English skills
• Self starter, resourceful and self motivated
• A team player able to harness concepts and ideas from a broad range of internal and external sources and effectively communicate a succinct message internally and externally
